Scenic beauty of Kochalummoodu paddy fields and creek that joints into Kodoor River

Kochalummoodu bridge over the creek that joins river Kodoor is a picturesque place in Kottayam. Just 3 kilometers from the busy puthuppally junction is this wonderful place. Kodoor River has a long history with old trading routes between the coastal district named Alapuzha and the Eastern Villages of Kottayam. There was a busy boat jetty at Puthuppally named Angadi (Market). The scenic beauty of this place has attracted many. Even though public attraction to this place is not much, the vast lush greenery is a major attraction and is very pleasing to the eyes. This creek joins Kodoor River at Parakkal Kadavu.

Kollad is a village in Kottayam district of Kerala state, India. It is situated 5 km from Kottayam town at 9.33° North and 76.33° East. is located on the banks of the Kodoor River. The small island-like village is surrounded by water. It is connected to the mainland by four bridges: the Kodoor bridge to chingavanam kanjikuzhy road, the Kunnathu Kadavu bridge toChozhiyakkadu , Channanikkad to Kollad bridge. The land area includes a cover of paddy fields. This village is well known for the scenic beauty of Parakal Kadavu Bridge which is covered by the curved accassia trees in a of distance 1.5 km
